Meet the 1899 Woodberry & Cole located at Sainte Marie Church in Manchester, New Hampshire! This organ of forty-six ranks of 2,669 pipes is in need of its critical centennial restoration after 125 years of distinguished service to the church and community. To preserve its longevity, and on account of its historical significance, the following repairs are required:

• ​Repair of the disintegrating framework

• Replacement of essential operating components

• Restoration of the tonal integrity of the existing pipework to the builder's original specifications

The Woodberry & Cole is an important artifact for the community, as demonstrated by this multi-tiered project involving parishioners, community members, local businesses, and other organizations in its historic preservation. The project consists of three stages:

• Activism: Community and parish involvement in awareness and communication of need.

• Commencement: Fundraising and contracting a restoration firm. The work begins!

• Completion:  Reinstallation of the pipe organ into the space for which it was built.
